will really hot water clean dildo

Well, I recently heard there’s this thing called a ‘dildo’ – and I asked a few of my friends what they knew about it. Most of them blushed and giggled and then finally shared what I needed to know! Apparently it’s a type of sex toy, you guessed it! But the bigger question remained – could I really give it a good clean with hot water?

Hot water sounds like a pretty safe and efficient way to clean anything, so I decided to research a bit more. It turns out, that yes, you can actually clean a dildo with hot water and some soap. But don’t use boiling water, as that can damage the material! Furthermore, if you don’t use soap, temperature of the water has to be above even lukewarm to be most effective.

Apparently different types of dildo material have their own unique cleaning methods. For example, glass dildos are not affected by hot water, so you could potentially use water as hot as you can tolerate without risk of damage. Metal dildos may deform if the water is too hot, so it’s best to keep it pretty tepid. But most dildos, like the type made of silicone, demand lukewarm water and a mild soap to maximize safety and hygiene.

I asked some of my friends who had dildos if this method worked for them, and they said yes! They shared that they use either mild baby soap or antibacterial soaps formulated for toys. One of the girls even said that after cleaning in warm water she also leaves them to air dry. In addition, some people have suggested deep-cleaning their sex toys with a dry bath (or a ‘sex toy bath’ as they call it) with special chemical cleaners. although i am a bit weary of using anything extra on these toys.

So, at the end of the day, it looks like using hot water and some mild soap is a great way to clean dildos, and most people I have talked to have had great success with it. Don’t try boiling water though, as that could potentially damage the precious toy! After trying it out, if you’re still not satisfied, then trying something like the dry bath could be an option.

Now that the basics are taken care of, if you want to go the extra mile, there are plenty of other methods like boiling in water and using alcohol wipes suggested by experts. Some people also recommend covering the toy with a fresh condom before using, to reduce the risks of infectious diseases. Honestly, I think that when it comes to the safety and hygiene of something like a dildo, it’s better to err on the side of extra caution.

When it comes to bacteria, there will always be some risk, regardless of how clean things are. But by making sure that you’re properly cleaning your dildo with warm soapy water, you can at least reduce the chances of infection. Other than that, take your time and learn about the different types of materials your dildo is made out of. And check if the material is compatible with the method being used.

Finally, if in doubt, it’s always better to consult an expert, and be as safe as possible!
